Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account information. Your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code. We never ask for or store a password.

Profile you choose to give us. A display name, home airport, and language preference.

Your trips. The flights and itineraries you add or track, your notification preferences, and the flight status and position history tied to flights you track.

Past flights you add. The flights you enter by hand for your Sky Log: the airports, the date, and, if you choose to give them, the airline, flight number and aircraft. They are visible only to you.

Social features you use. Friend requests and friendships, and flights you choose to share (and with whom). A flight you share with a link can be opened by anyone who has that link, with no account: the page shows only the flight's status and times, never its gate, live position, or who shared it, and it stops working as soon as you revoke the link.

Usage analytics. Which screens and features you use in the app (for example, that you opened your Sky Log or added a flight), with the date, your platform, and the app version, linked to your account. We use it to see what is useful and what to improve. It never includes flight details, names, locations, or contacts, it is stored only in our own database and not shared with any analytics company, and we delete it after 13 months. You can turn it off at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy & data → Share usage data.

Notifications. A push-notification token for your device, if you allow notifications.

Subscription status. Whether you have an active paid plan. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card or payment details.

Website waitlist. If you join the waitlist on flyghtpulse.com, we store the email address you enter.

Calendar (optional). If you tap "Add to calendar" and grant permission, the app adds an event for your flight to your device's calendar. That event stays on your device.

What we do not collect

• Your precise or background location.
• Your contacts or photos.
• Advertising identifiers. We do not run ads and do not track you across other apps or websites.
• Any third-party analytics or tracking software in the app.
• We do not sell your personal information.

How we use it

To run the app: signing you in, tracking and updating your flights, sending the alerts you ask for, showing delay-risk estimates, enabling sharing with people you choose, managing your subscription, and keeping the service secure. We do not use your information for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to operate FlyghtPulse. They process information only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — our database, sign-in, and backend hosting.
• Resend — sends your sign-in code emails.
• Apple and Expo — deliver push notifications to your device.
• RevenueCat, Apple, and Google — process and verify subscriptions.
• Vercel — hosts this website.
• Flight and weather data providers (such as FlightAware, OAG, ADS-B Exchange, and OpenWeatherMap) — we send them flight identifiers and airport information to get flight status and weather. We do not send them your name or email.
• Anthropic — powers the Connection Assistant. Only the layover details (airports, flight numbers, and times) are sent, never your name or email.

Information you share with another FlyghtPulse user (a shared flight, a friend request) is visible to that person, as you chose. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users and the service.

Keeping your data safe

Data is encrypted in transit, and our database is configured so each account can only read its own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy & data → Delete my account and data. This permanently removes your profile, itineraries, tracked flights, past flights, usage analytics, and related records from our live systems, with no recovery period. Backups kept by our database provider may take some time to age out. You can also email us at ask@flyghtpulse.com to request access to or deletion of your data, including a waitlist email address.

Children

FlyghtPulse is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at ask@flyghtpulse.com and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
